Milwaukee, Wisconsin – This years Utility Expo has added to its star-studded line up of vehicles being showcased with the latest announcement of Manitowoc’s displays. The company, which specializes in manufacturing utility vehicles such as cranes, crawlers, and boom trucks will be showcasing three new products at this year’s exposition.
Attendees will have the opportunity to take a look at the National Crane NBT60XL boom truck, the NBT45-2 45-ton compact, and the Grove GHC110 telescoping crawler crane.
The NBT60XL will be displayed for the first time since the company launched it late last year. The versatile crane is equipped to handle many different utility jobs. The crane boasts a 151-foot main boom and class-leading charts with practical transportability. Holding 16,000lbs of hydraulic removable truck crane-style counterweights, the counterweight slabs are designed to stack easily and efficiently, saving time and hassle. This is a crane everyone wants to check out.
“The NBT60XL is taking on all competitors in the 60 USt market,” said Michael Heinrich, Vice President of Sales for Boom Truck Cranes at Manitowoc.
The NBT40-2 series is the new boom trucks that will be displayed. The crane models are offered in 45-foot versions and 40-foot versions. Each one provides users with a reach of 127-foot and 142-foot five section boom options. As load charts have a double-digit percentage increase over their predecessors with no additional weight, this makes the series one of the best pound for pound boom trucks on the utility truck market.
“For over 50 years, our boom trucks have led the way with flexible setup, class-leading features and comfort for operators. This is thanks to direct feedback from our customers that’s incorporated into our engineering processes,” continued Heinrich.
The Grove GHC110 crane debuted in July, following its predecessors release of the Grove GHC140. The design of the crane truck have three exterior cameras on the vehicle to increase visibility for the driver. With a quick and easy self-assembly kit, companies may want to check this out at the show.
