Nanaimo, British Columbia – VMAC has received recognition as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies for the third consecutive year. The award recognizes best-in-class private business leaders across the country, with this year’s winners prioritizing cash flow, employee health and well being, remote work, and social responsibility.
“We are proud to be recognized as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies again,” said Tod Gilbert, President of VMAC. “The global challenges over the past year put our entire team to the test, and VMAC has persevered. We remained committed to our team, the safety of our community and focused on the future. Our people, processes, and products are stronger than they have ever been, and our designation as one of Canada’s Best Managed companies reflects that strength.”
“This year’s Best Managed winners demonstrate the organizational grit required to thrive in these increasingly uncertain times,” said Kari Lockhart, Partner, Deloitte Private and Co-Leader, Canada’s Best Managed Companies program. “By putting their people first and showing the courage to experiment and take risks, they were able to overcome some of today’s most pressing challenges. This year’s winners were able to succeed because they weren’t afraid to fail.”
Despite the rocky business landscape, VMAC has remained fully operational throughout the past year, and has implemented changes that keep employees safe while maintaining business growth. The company designs, engineers, and manufactures a range of rotary screw air compressors and multi-power systems for the work truck industry based out of its 40,000 square-foot headquarters in British Columbia. VMAC ranks among the nation’s top 20 companies and has also received its second consecutive Best Workplace recognition.
