Novi, Michigan – The Shyft Group has announced that it recently launched Utilimaster Velocity-F2 walk-in-van delivery vehicle and has already received orders for over 3,000 units. The orders come from several parcel delivery companies looking to capitalize on upward trends in e-commerce. Delivery of the vehicles is scheduled to begin in March.
Shyft is North America’s leader in specialty vehicle manufacturing, assembly, and upfit for e-commerce-driven, broader commercial, retail and service specialty vehicle markets. The company’s recent rebrand to The Shyft Group represents its speed, efficiency, agility and high-intensity approach, and reflects the company’s pivot towards the delivery vehicle, work truck, specialty service and upfit markets.
The Velocity-F2 keeps drivability, fuel efficiency and payload capacity in mind with its proprietary Work-Driven Design. Utilimaster has used decades of engineering and ergonomics studies to fine-tune the usability and efficiency of walk-in vans in the parcel, linen, food and beverage, pharmaceutical and grocery delivery segments.
"Our parcel delivery customers continue to operate at near capacity, based on expanding consumer interest in ecommerce shopping and delivered goods and services," said Daryl Adams, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Shyft Group.
