Stellar industries of Garner, Iowa—an employee owned and operated manufacturer of hydraulic truck mounted equipment and trailers—has launched four new telescopic crane options and a newly redesigned remote control.
The 7621 and 7630 are redesigns of its 7,000 lb. class cranes, while adding a brand-new 8,000 lb line with its 8621 and 8630 cranes.
Stellar also offers its newly improved CDTpro remote controller with Range Finder tool.
The new, sleek design of the Stellar 7621 and 7630 cranes have a reduced weight of nearly 20 percent compared to the previous models—but still possess the same strength. The boom has been redesigned from a hexagon to an octagon which creates a more compact design and allowing for easy reach in smaller spaces.
“It takes skill to improve the best crane on the market, but we’ve done it,” said Tim Davison, Stellar Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “Our new models improve on strength while also reducing overall weight, creating the lightest and most robust option on the market.”
The company’s new CDTpro is an ergonomically-correct and balanced radio remote control, and features the new Range Finder tool. The remote provides single-hand control for quick and smooth operation with fine control for precise load placement while allowing multiple functions to run at once.
The Range Finder allows the operator to create a lift plan without needing to unstow the crane. A world-first technology, Stellar said the remote estimates distance and calculates crane capacities where the operator is holding the radio remote.
With a full suite of feedback screens, the Stellar CDTpro includes current load of the crane, distance to maximum capacity and sends vibratory alerts to inform the operator they are approaching maximum load capacity.
