Reading, Pennsylvania – Reading has announced the launch of their newest service truck, the RM-45 Crane Body.
The RM-45 is “built from your needs up”. It includes a variety of new features, including enhanced safety systems, better lighting, and ease of accessory installations. The biggest selling point is the addition of the torsion box under structure, which provides the strength and resistance to lift up to 45,000 pounds at 100% capacity rating throughout the lifting zone.
“We're excited to debut our newest, and our best performing crane body,” said Alan Farash, President and Chief Operating Officer of Reading Truck Group. “This truck represents a whole new level of safety and productivity.”
New quick mount brackets and a redesigned workbench bumper with built in grip steps allow for more safe and convenient operations for the user. The vehicle is spacious and is designed with increased storage use for any tools.
The improved lighting systems are a product of the headache rack work lights and rear-mounted strobes built within the truck. The crane body, which has been in development for over a year, has been thoroughly reengineered and reimagined to deliver a highly capable service vehicle. One that Reading believes is its best yet.
Recommended chassis for the RM-45 include the following class 5 vehicles: Ford F-550, Chevy 5500HD, Ram 5500, and International CV, and the following class 6 vehicles: Ford F-600 and Chevy 6500HD.
More information on the newest truck will be provided at the Reading Webinar Series on June 16th.
