Pride Bodies recently participated as an exhibitor in the 2022 National Heavy Equipment Show in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada held March 31 – April 1, 2022.
Jim Guest, Pride Bodies’ Sales Manager for Canada, said that overall, he was impressed by what he experienced at the event.
“It was pretty busy, in my opinion,” he stated, “then again, we’ve all been hidden away for the past two years. It was a nice feeling to shake hands again.”
He added: “Overall, the show was well attended—and our booth, too. I believe there are two or three packages we can count on as a result of our being there.”
At the company’s booth, it had an example of its work, provided by customer Walker Aggregates, which helped draw in the crowds.
Like others at the show, Guest lamented the fact that the industry is experiencing shortages. “There’s not enough service trucks available for the people who want them,” he said. “If I had five service trucks ready to go, they all would have been sold. But there’s just no stock.”
Guest said that Pride Bodies is a full-service operation that starts its projects at the beginning with its engineering department customizing its bodies to a customer’s requirements.
The manufacturing process begins in its plasma, brake, and welding departments, and continues to the paint department, before finishing off at its assembly department. The assembly department completes all electrical, hydraulics and truck mounted accessory installs such as cranes, compressors, and lube systems, and more.
