We’ve got videos!
Service Truck Magazine now has videos on its website that showcase the industry as described by real technicians, grease monkeys, fleet managers, and OEMs who know the score.
At the top of our website, we have a menu bar: Home, News, Truck Focus, Features, Resources—and now: Videos.
These service truck videos offer up a wide range of interesting topics, such as a look inside a heavy-duty mechanic’s truck, examining the ins and outs of types of service beds, providing insight on various types of trucks and bodies, and personal views of what life is like for some of the many different occupations within our service industry.
There are also service truck industry-related videos from those who provide the equipment that makes your truck YOUR truck. Yup, we’re talking about Cool Tools.
From cranes to hose reels to jacks, toolboxes, and drawers—and even information on where you can purchase additional vehicles for your fleet—we’ve got something for you.
But, while we are happy enough to search for and find videos all by ourselves, we would like it if you would supply videos to us!
Sure, it can be a bit of self-promotion of your company and products, but it can also be you providing a teaching moment on a subject regarding this industry segment.
While we know we don’t have to tell you, we’re doing this for the others—No swearing in the video. Keep sex, religion, and politics out of it. Treat everyone equally and kindly.
You can make the videos as long as you wish, but keep in mind that viewers are as busy as you. Some friendly advice would be to keep it under five minutes in length.
So, (paraphrasing): If you are ready for your close-up, Mr. DeMille, once you have your video ready for the world to see, send it to us via email at videos@servicetruckmagazine.com.
Oh, and keep in mind that anything sent via email over 15 MB in size probably won’t work—so find a free online file transfer site. The editor uses WeTransfer out of personal preference because it was the first such program he heard of. Just remember that it should be free. Just do a "search" with the phrase: free file transfer sites.
Service Truck Magazine hopes you will watch the videos and come away with increased knowledge. Hey, the more you know, right?
