The Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada-headquartered GreenPower Motor Company has debuted its new customizable electric EV Star Utility Truck.
The electric all-purpose utility truck, upfitted by the GreenPower subsidiary GP Truck Body, sits on the GreenPower EV Star cab and chassis.
Customizable for multiple industries such as agriculture and landscape, carpentry, construction, electrical, heating and cooling, and plumbing, the EV Star Utility Truck uses a 118 kWh battery, providing a range of up to 150 miles and a payload capacity of 5,500 pounds—with 6,000 lbs possible with an optional package.
The vehicle can be fast-charged at 60 kW in approximately two hours, but at Level 2, it can be charged overnight in eight hours.
Headquartered in Canada, the company also has a sales and administration office in Rancho Cucamonga, California. For US customers, assembly takes place in Porterville, California, in San Joaquin Valley.
Robustly constructed for day-to-day demands and workloads, the EV Star comes with optional power sources, providing accessible power through built-in plugs to accommodate tool charging conveniently on a job site.
The front box of the vehicle has an optional full pass-through capacity, allowing for oversized tools and supplies.
The EV Star Utility Truck offers tailored contractor body configurations, coming in a standard bed size of 16 feet. with the option to customize the length to meet the customer’s needs, allowing for more room and applications.
