Are you considering a career in the heavy-duty industry?
Whether you're interested in heavy-duty maintenance or supplying parts, this field offers a fulfilling career path. And now, there’s an exciting opportunity to support your educational journey – heavy-duty scholarships.
The University of the Aftermarket Foundation (UAF) is accepting applications for various scholarship awards. By completing a single application, you'll automatically be considered for hundreds of scholarships if you meet the individual requirements of the participating organisations. This is your chance to compete for numerous awards and get financial support for your education.
These scholarships are open to:
- Full-time students enrolled in an accredited U.S. college or university or an ASE/NATEF Certified post-secondary automotive, heavy duty, or collision repair schools
- Graduating high school seniors planning to study full-time in the above institutions
There's no GPA requirement for these scholarships, widening the opportunity for many students. If you're a Canadian student or planning to attend a college in Canada, be sure to check out the separate application for Canadian Students.
The application process is user-friendly. You can start your application online and return to it later to make updates until the March 31, 2024, deadline.
What do you need for the application?
Prepare a one-page essay about your career goals, consider posting an optional short video on YouTube, and include at least one letter of reference. Also, ensure you submit your high school and, if applicable, post-secondary transcripts.
Students who receive a UAF scholarship are eligible for a second grant upon graduation from their program and after completing six months of employment as a technician in the automotive or heavy duty industries.
Remember, incomplete or late applications will not be considered. You can attach documents to your online application, mail them, or email them to the Heavy-duty Aftermarket Scholarship Committee. Please include your name on every page of your documents for clarity.
This is a fantastic opportunity for veterans as well, as these scholarships are designed to complement GI Bill college benefits.
