To add to the electric vehicle landscape, Bollinger Motors has announced will produce the B2 Chassis Cab, which will be the world’s first and only class 3 chassis cab truck platform.
The truck will have options in two or four door cab designs and various wheelbase lengths and is to be built on the Bollinger E-Chassis all-wheel drive base, which is already used for the B1 sport utility and B2 pickup truck.
“The Bollinger B2 Chassis Cab’s unique features – including the 5,000-pound payload and large energy source to power tools – make it perfect for businesses, small and large,” says CEO Robert Bollinger. “Commercial fleets will be able to reduce their overall cost of operation while buying a truck designed, engineered, and built in the USA. The B2CC is an ideal option for municipalities, plumbers, security, non-tactical military, and more.”
Additional features of the B2 Chassis Cab include a 120-kWh battery pack powering a dual motor system on an all-wheel drivetrain with all-terrain capabilities. It will also include the following features: ultra-low centre of gravity, hydro-pneumatic self-leveling suspension, front and rear suspension and a 10-kW onboard charger/inverter. Bollinger Motors is expected to release the new chassis cab in late 2021.
