Miller Electric Mfg. LLC, headquartered in Appleton, Wisconsin, and wholly owned by Illinois Tool Works (ITW), has a new offering—the movable FILTAIR Capture 5 mobile fume extraction system designed for those performing welding operations.
Ideal for fabrication shops, manufacturing and training centers, the system includes:
- Mobile Capture 5 Extractor 208/230 V;
- 10-foot Extraction Arm;
- Primary Power Cord Connector;
- FilTek XL Filter.
The power cord, however, is sold separately.
The Capture 5 arm with ZoneFlow technology creates a negative pressure zone that funnels air to the center of the arm from greater distances, from up to five feet away. The pre-assembled aluminum and steel arm has a 360-degree rotation for unlimited positioning, which means fewer hood adjustments and extended welding time.
Because the system’s fume capture zone is three times larger than competitive systems, fewer interactions are required by the user to move it, which increases the arc-on time and user productivity.
Arm adjustments of the robust system are toolless, adjusted quickly by hand.
By performing simple external adjustments, users can have the air pass through with lower airflow resistance, which provides a stronger airflow.
Optional, pre-assembled extraction arms are also available from Miller in 10 and 12-foot lengths.
The Miller FilTek XL filter tech is designed specifically for welding fumes. It offers a longer filter life—up to twice as long as treated cellulose filters, while providing filtration of up to 95 percent of weld fume particulate.
The system’s Particulate Disposable Bin is easily accessed, with a handles release drawer sliding out to provide access.
