MEMA (Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association), the vehicle suppliers association, is entering 2026 with a renewed leadership structure designed to support suppliers across a rapidly evolving mobility landscape.
The organization announced that it has “reaffirmed its leadership transition and the strength of its senior executive team, underscoring the organization’s focus on delivering greater value for vehicle suppliers across the mobility ecosystem, and has appointed Paul McCarthy as MEMA’s new President and Chief Executive Officer.
According to the association, in a press release, “McCarthy brings deep industry experience and a member-first mindset to the role, positioning MEMA to navigate a period of rapid transformation in vehicle technology, supply chains and public policy”.
His leadership, according to MEMA, arrives at a pivotal moment for suppliers facing shifting regulatory demands, electrification pressures, and ongoing supply‑chain volatility.
Supporting McCarthy is a seasoned senior leadership team that reflects MEMA’s strategic priorities. The team includes Emily Poladian, President of MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers; Collin Shaw, President of MEMA Original Equipment Suppliers; Ana Meuwissen, Senior Vice President of Government Affairs; and Mike Blawas, Chief Financial Officer. Together, the group is tasked with strengthening advocacy, enhancing member engagement, and guiding suppliers through the next phase of industry transformation.
For the commercial vehicle and work truck sectors—where suppliers play a critical role in chassis systems, powertrain components, safety technologies, and fleet‑support equipment—MEMA’s leadership stability signals continued focus on representing supplier interests at both the federal and industry levels. As regulatory and technological shifts accelerate, the association’s updated executive structure is positioned to help suppliers adapt and compete.
