Maintainer Corporation has expanded its sales organization with the addition of Matt Weber as Regional Sales Manager, bringing a customer-focused perspective shaped by nearly 20 years of experience in fleet management and equipment operations.
Weber joins the Sheldon, Iowa-based manufacturer after spending 11 years with Butler Machinery, where he served as Feet Manager for a fleet of more than 500 assets supporting approximately 1,000 employees across 22 locations. During that time, he developed experience in fleet operations, vehicle procurement, maintenance management, Department of Transportation compliance, and strategies designed to maximize fleet uptime.
According to Tom Wibben, Vice President of Sales & Service at Maintainer, Weber's background provides a strong understanding of the daily challenges faced by fleet operators and service truck users.
“Matt brings a unique perspective because he has spent years in our customers' shoes,” related Wibben. “His firsthand experience managing large fleets and specifying service trucks gives him an exceptional understanding of the challenges our customers face every day. We're excited to welcome him to the Maintainer team.”
Prior to joining Maintainer, Weber collaborated closely with the company as a customer, helping develop service truck solutions tailored to the needs of technicians and field service personnel.
“My role was to identify and communicate the needs of our locations and field service personnel,” Weber said. “By working closely with the Maintainer team, those concepts and requirements were transformed into highly capable service trucks that consistently delivered industry-leading performance and functionality.”
In his new role, Weber will initially work alongside Maintainer's sales team throughout the US, meeting with customers and dealer partners while learning more about regional markets and customer requirements.
“The opportunity to learn from some of the most respected and knowledgeable professionals in the industry is incredibly exciting,” Weber commented. “I look forward to building on their experience and contributing to Maintainer's continued success.”
Weber explained that his transition from customer to manufacturer offers a unique perspective on what fleet managers expect from service truck suppliers.
“Every operation is unique,” he said. “But the priorities are consistent; customers need uptime, payload capacity, performance, durability, and functional design that helps technicians be more productive every day.”
Looking ahead, Weber believes technology, operator safety, and workforce efficiency will continue driving innovation throughout the work truck sector.
“Operator safety and workforce efficiency will remain major drivers of innovation,” he pointed out. “Finding ways to leverage new technology while helping customers improve productivity and safety will be critical in the years ahead.”
An active industry participant, Weber is a long-standing member of NTEA and previously served as president of the North American Caterpillar Dealers Fleet Committee and co-chair of the NACD Procurement and Fleet Group.
