Grote Industries is using its 125th anniversary year to reinforce a message the company has repeated for more than a century: people drive performance. As part of that commitment, the Madison, Indiana–based manufacturer has promoted Josh Wilber to Vice President of Human Resources, a move designed to support the company’s expanding global footprint.
The announcement comes as Grote continues to grow its presence across the United States, Canada, Mexico, Germany, and China. With more than 1,600 employees worldwide, the company says its long‑term success is rooted in a culture built on discipline, responsibility, and customer focus. Strengthening HR leadership, it adds, is essential to sustaining that momentum.
Wilber has served as Grote’s director of human resources for the past 14 years, a period marked by the modernization of talent‑management systems and the streamlining of global processes. In his new role, he will continue to lead the US HR team while shaping the policies and structures needed to support the company’s international workforce.
“Our 125‑year legacy was built by people who were never afraid to take a chance and who stayed focused on solving real‑world challenges,” stated John Grote, Chief Operating Officer. “As we look toward the future, our success depends on our ability to cultivate excellence across our global workforce. Josh’s leadership will ensure that Grote remains a place where the best teams can win, providing the foundation for the next century of safety and innovation.”
Grote plans to commemorate its anniversary with company-wide celebrations throughout June of this year, bringing together employees from all regions to reflect on the values established by founder William D. Grote.
The company said the leadership expansion underscores its commitment to maintaining its family‑owned heritage while continuing to evolve as a global employer in the commercial‑vehicle industry.
Grote Industries is a global leader in the development, manufacture, and supply of visibility, safety, and smart‑trailer systems for the on‑highway, off‑highway, and trailer‑body‑builder markets.
