Stellar Industries, the 100 percent employee-owned manufacturer of work trucks, trailers, and service accessories, has announced a definitive agreement to acquire Elliott Equipment Company, a leading US producer of truck-mounted aerial work platforms, digger derricks, and cranes.
The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2026, pending customary conditions.
The acquisition marks a significant step in Stellar’s long-term growth strategy, expanding its lifting equipment and work-at-height solutions while creating new opportunities for distributors, customers, and employee-owners.
“Stellar has always pursued growth opportunities that align with our culture, vision, and commitment to excellence,” commented Dave Zrostlik, President of Stellar. “The addition of Elliott Equipment Company represents an exciting step forward as we continue to build upon our shared values of quality, innovation, and customer service. We’re proud to welcome Elliott to the Stellar team.”
Founded in 1948, Elliott pioneered the first truck-mounted telescoping aerial platform and continues to design industry-leading equipment for utility transmission, commercial construction, municipal services, and fleet maintenance applications.
Following the transaction, Elliott will operate as a distinct business unit under Stellar, retaining its employees, facilities, brand identity, and dealer relationships in Omaha, Nebraska. Jim Glazer, the President of Elliott Equipment Company, will continue to lead the organization.
“We are thrilled to continue the Elliott Equipment Company story with Stellar,” stated Glazer. “This acquisition represents a strong cultural fit between two organizations that share a commitment to people, product integrity, and long-term growth.”
Stellar’s employee-owned structure ensures that growth benefits are shared across the organization. Through its ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan), employee-owners have a direct stake in company performance, reinforcing a culture of collaboration and accountability.
Looking ahead, Stellar plans to broaden its capabilities in aerial work platforms, utility lifting solutions, and material-handling technologies, enabling both companies to serve existing customers better and pursue new opportunities in adjacent markets. Both organizations remain committed to US manufacturing, exceptional service, and industry-leading engineering.
