Mack Trucks has expanded its Mack Premium Service Contract program to include the Mack MD Series, giving medium-duty truck owners access to factory-backed maintenance and repair coverage through the company's dealer network across North America.
The program is intended to help customers better manage maintenance expenses while supporting vehicle uptime. Coverage can be tailored to specific operating requirements and may include preventive maintenance as well as protection for the powertrain, aftertreatment system, chassis, clutch, and towing needs.
“Whether it’s a single truck or a large fleet, our customers count on their Mack vehicle being ready for work every day,” explained Ashish Sadhu, Services Director, Mack Trucks. “A service contract takes the surprises out of maintenance and keeps costs predictable so owners can stay focused on running their businesses.”
According to Mack, the service contract allows inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs to be completed during a single service visit, helping fleets reduce downtime. Dealer fleet managers can also assist with scheduling maintenance in advance, enabling operators to plan service intervals rather than react to unexpected issues.
The company noted that routine maintenance and engine oil analysis can help identify potential problems before they lead to larger repairs, while also supporting fuel efficiency. Customers can choose from fixed monthly pricing and flexible payment options designed to simplify budgeting throughout the vehicle's lifecycle.
The Mack MD Series is designed for a variety of medium-duty applications, including dry van and refrigerated delivery, stake, and flatbed operations, dump trucks and tank truck vocations. The lineup includes the Class 6 Mack MD6, rated at 25,995 pounds GVWR, and the Class 7 Mack MD7, rated at 33,000 pounds GVWR. Together, the models provide Mack with offerings spanning Class 6 through Class 8 vehicles.
Both MD Series models are exempt from the 12 percent US Federal Excise Tax, while the MD6 can be operated without a Commercial Driver’s License when carrying non-hazardous payloads.
