Noregon has rolled out a significant update to its JPRO diagnostic platform, introducing new features and expanded coverage aimed at helping technicians diagnose electrical and communication issues more efficiently.
The release builds on last year’s introduction of CAN bus diagnostic capabilities, which allowed users to read voltage and resistance directly in the software.
The latest version deepens that functionality through tighter integration with JPRO’s Repair Mentor, an embedded tool that guides technicians through step‑by‑step troubleshooting. According to the company, Repair Mentor can now identify the location of an open, disconnected, or short circuit and graph live data values to help determine the root cause.
“CAN bus diagnostic technology has been a game changer for customers who took advantage of it with the last JPRO release, but this update makes it an even more accessible feature for technicians of any skill level,” said Jason Hedman, Noregon Product Manager. “By following prompts in the software, newer technicians can solve communication issues under the guidance of their diagnostic tool without always having to grab a multimeter or pull away a more experienced coworker.”
For on‑highway users, the update includes proprietary engine faults and roll call support for Mack and Volvo VN4 architecture, including Mack Anthem/Pioneer and Volvo VNL models. New bi‑directional tests have also been added for major component manufacturers such as Eaton and Cummins.
Mixed‑fleet and off‑highway operations receive notable enhancements as well. JPRO now includes additional tests, commands, and coverage for equipment from John Deere, Kubota, Yanmar, and other heavy‑equipment manufacturers—features included at no additional subscription cost.
The update also introduces an optional dark mode within the application settings, giving technicians another way to customize their workspace.
