OptiFuse, a leading manufacturer of circuit protection components, has announced the expansion of its TPK-R fuse line with the release of sub-1 amp UL Listed Class CC time-delay fuses.
These new low-amperage fuses are made to protect branch circuits according to UL 248-4, making the TPK-R series more flexible for use in delicate industrial settings.
The TPK-R fuses combine current-limiting performance with a built-in Class CC rejection feature, which helps prevent the accidental substitution of lower-rated midget fuses. This design ensures that only properly rated fuses are installed, reducing the risk of equipment damage or safety hazards due to incorrect fuse replacement.
The newly released fuses cover a wide range of electrical ratings—from 100 mA to 30 A—and are rated for up to 600 VAC with an impressive interrupting capacity of 200 kA.
For DC applications, the fuses offer 50 kA at 600 VDC, while the 9 A–30 A versions are rated at 10 kA at 300 VDC. These specifications make the TPK-R series suitable for protecting equipment exposed to high in-rush currents, such as transformers, solenoids, and small motors.
In addition to their technical performance, select TPK-R fuse ratings are now available in retail blister packaging, making them accessible for both OEM and aftermarket needs.
Full specifications and dimensional drawings are available in the official TPK-R datasheet.
