Mohawk Lifts has introduced the ML-220XL, a new ALI-certified two-post lift designed to support the evolving needs of fleet maintenance operations.
The company called the model an enhanced version of its established ML-220 platform, incorporating increased reach, improved vehicle accessibility, and maintenance-focused updates aimed at servicing a wider variety of commercial vehicles.
According to Mohawk, the ML-220XL features extended carriages and redesigned swing arms that increase both extension and retraction capabilities.
Each arm extends four inches farther than the previous design, allowing technicians to access lifting points on larger cargo vans and long-wheelbase commercial vehicles, including GM BrightDrop and Rivian delivery platforms. At the same time, the arms retract four inches shorter, making it easier to position the lift under electric vehicles and compact vehicles with shorter wheelbases.
“As commercial fleets evolve and delivery platforms grow more diverse, shops need lifting equipment that adapts just as fast,” said Steve Perlstein, President of Mohawk Lifts. “The ML-220XL takes a proven design and elevates it with ALI-certified safety, extended arm reach, and practical features developed directly from real-world feedback. It’s built to handle today’s fleet vehicles—and tomorrow’s.”
The lift also incorporates removable access panels designed to simplify service and installation work. The panels allow hydraulic lines to be rerouted from overhead to in-floor configurations with less effort, while also providing improved access for routine maintenance, adjustments, and repairs.
Mohawk said its ML-220XL was developed in response to customer feedback and the growing diversity of vehicle types entering fleet service bays. By combining greater reach with tighter arm retraction, the company aims to give maintenance facilities a single lift solution capable of handling a broader range of vehicles.
