Too hot? Too cold? How about just right!
That’s what Miller Electric Manufacturing Co. is offering with its new CabEn Climate Solutions system—a real cool (or hot) tool offering heating and cooling cab climate control solution that works without the operator having to idle the truck.
It’s the integration within the truck cab that relieves it of requiring the truck’s motor to be running in order to work.
If the CabEn Climate Solutions system is paired with an EnPak all-in-one A30 or A60, fleet operators can save up to $11,000 every year on fuel, maintenance, repairs and downtime, according to Miller Electric.
The company added that only its CabEn Climate Solutions is capable of controlling a cab’s temperature without taking up space or requiring extensive cab modifications—and is capable of running all day without any limitations of vehicle battery power.
Operators will, along with gaining some creature comfort within the cab, also be able to—when outside—perform their welding, hydraulics, compressed air, battery charge/crank assists, and generator power requirements and more—all with the truck turned off.
For operators working in both hot and cold environs, the CabEn Climate Pak is a fully integrated heating and cooling solution offering both CabEn Heat and CabEn Cool equipment, so your operators have relief from the outside environment with the truck engine turned off.
For those who only need relief from the heat, an EnPak power system provides the power that CabEn Cool needs to maintain the cab at a comfortable temperature all day long—without the limitations of battery-operated cooling systems.
While Marilyn Monroe proved that some like it hot, we assume some operators do too. For service trucks that primarily operate in cold environments, CabEn Heat warms the cab using a heater that’s powered by the truck’s diesel fuel supply. The truck’s engine never needs to run to keep operators warm.
