Coxreels is adding more adaptability to its 1600 Series reeling platform with the launch of a new Universal Bracket Kit, a component designed to help technicians and upfitters solve mounting challenges in tight or irregular spaces.
The company describes the 1600 Series as “a high‑performance reeling platform designed for maximum configuration featuring the most versatile symmetric reel design in the industry,” and the new bracket extends that flexibility even further.
Built from 12‑gauge powder‑coated steel, the Universal Bracket Kit serves as both a structural mounting solution and a dual‑purpose chain and gear guard.
It offers four payout angles—0, 30, 60, and 90 degrees—giving installers more control over hose, cord, or cable direction depending on compartment layout or operator workflow. The bracket also supports mounting rewind cranks, three‑ or four‑way roller guides, and three‑way pins on either side of the reel.
For technicians focused on uptime, Coxreels engineered the kit with a removable center guard cap that allows quick access to bearings for inspection or service.
The bracket was specifically developed to address the limited space challenge common in service trucks, mobile equipment, and industrial environments. By allowing the reel to fit into more confined or unconventional mounting locations, the bracket helps maintain the durability and performance standards expected from the 1600 Series.
The Universal Bracket Kit is the latest addition to a product line built around modularity. The 1600 Series platform supports a wide range of components and configurations, enabling fleets and equipment builders to tailor reels to their exact application needs. Coxreels noted that this adaptability is central to the platform’s design philosophy and a key reason the series is used across so many industries.
