Coxreels has introduced dual hydraulic reel options aimed at service truck operators who rely on hydraulic tools and accessories in the field. Available in MPD and TDMP configurations, the reels are engineered to improve serviceability while helping fleets make better use of limited storage space.
According to the company, the reels feature single-sided access for both the spring and swivel components. Supply and return lines enter on the same side of the reel through a removable dual-port hydraulic swivel, while the spring cartridge motor is also located on that side of the assembly.
The configuration is designed to simplify maintenance by allowing service access to major components without removing the reel from the truck. This can be especially beneficial for reels mounted inside truck body compartments, where space is often at a premium.
Another advantage of the design is installation flexibility. Because incoming hose lines do not require access from the rear of the reel, the back side of the drum can be positioned close to a wall or compartment surface. This allows operators and upfitters to maximize available storage space within the service body.
For applications requiring up to 30 feet of dual hose capacity, the MPD series features a dual-axle support system built around a solid steel 1-inch axle. The larger TDMP series is designed for capacities up to 50 feet and incorporates triple-axle support, dual arm guides, and stainless steel hose guide rollers for demanding hydraulic applications.
Both reel families are constructed with heavy-gauge steel and finished with a polyester powder coat for durability. Additional features include rolled and ribbed discs, along with a two-year warranty.
Founded in 1923, Coxreels is headquartered in Tempe, Arizona, and manufactures professional-grade hose, cord, and cable reels for a variety of industrial, commercial, and mobile applications. The company serves customers across industries including service trucks, manufacturing, utilities, and maintenance operations.
